On June 27, 2019, the chief designer of the Special Machine-Building Design Bureau, Sergei Abdulov, told TASS Russian News Agency that the firm is working on a new lightweight tank, which is based on the Sprut-SDM1 self-propelled anti-tank gun. It will not be an airborne vehicle but should be amphibious.

Saab has signed a framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to provide the Swedish Armed Forces with Carl-Gustaf M4. The framework agreement will allow FMV to place orders during a ten-year period. An initial order for Carl-Gustaf M4 weapons, of approximately MSEK 330, has been placed with deliveries taking place during 2020-2023.

Finnish Company Protolab Oy is pleased to announce the delivery of the first Protolab 6x6 Protected Multi-Purpose Vehicles (PMPV) to the Finnish Defence Forces (FDF). Protolab is delivering four PMPVs to the FDF under a contract signed in 2018. The vehicles are being put through operational testing by the FDF as part of a wider modernization program to upgrade and enhance its armored vehicle fleet.

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. has announced that its Unmanned Systems Division successfully completed Swedish Defence Materiel Administration's (FMV) missile firing exercise with the German Navy. The exercises, hosted by FMV, utilized the Kratos MQM-178 Firejet and BQM-167i aerial target aircraft and support services.

The TLVS (Taktisches Luftverteidigungssystem - Tactical Air Defense System) bidders consortium, an MBDA Deutschland and Lockheed Martin joint venture, has submitted its proposal to the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to develop, test and deliver TLVS, Germany’s future Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) system.

On Thursday, June 20, 2019, Dr. Bruce Jette, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, approved the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program's transition into Full-Rate Production. The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is a United States military program that was launched to replace the Humvee light wheeled tactical vehicle with a family of more protected vehicles with greater payload. The JLTV program was approved in 2006 to begin early studies.

The U.S. Army has completed an almost three-month-long capabilities demonstration of prototype radars aimed at replacing the one currently used by Patriot missile units. The "sense-off" at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, tested three different prototypes of the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor, or LTAMDS. The Trump administration on Tuesday, June 18, announced plans to provide an additional $250 million in lethal weapons and aid to the Ukrainian army, which brings the total amount to $1.5 billion to Ukraine since 2014, when Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula.

Rheinmetall and the Dutch procurement authority Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) have renewed their partnership agreement for the supply of ammunition through to the end of 2030. For Rheinmetall, this agreement holds the prospect of order volume worth several hundred million euros during the ten-year period.

French manufacturer Nexter demonstrated the capabilities of its 105 mm 105 LG1 Mk III light howitzer at the Central Air Force Training Range located in Ustka, Poland, Defence 24 reports. The gun fired salvos of six rounds in less than 15 seconds at ranges p 17 kilometers with good accuracy, despite the strong wind.

The French SME Novadem from Aix-en-Provence records the most important order of its history. Indeed, more than 50 NX70 micro surveillance and reconnaissance Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been ordered by the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) and will soon equip French soldiers deployed in operation. Each of the 27 systems acquired is composed of two UAVs, a ground station and the associated equipment and technical support.
