Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth 'file papers to begin rebuilding Malibu home'... after losing it eight months ago in the Woolsey Fire

She lost her $2.5 million Malibu mansion to the Woolsey Fire eight months ago. 

And reports revealed on Tuesday that Miley Cyrus has now filed papers to begin rebuilding her home. 

According to RadarOnline, the 26-year-old hitmaker paid just over $400 on July 2 for the work to begin on her land.

Miley 'dished out $412.33 for the permit for the excavation and drilling to take place at her former home,' the publication reported. 

It comes after the Nothing Breaks Like A Heart singer and her husband, Liam Hemsworth, lost their homes in the devastating fires in November 2018. 

The recently married duo's two-acre property home featured two levels with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It was located just east of Paradise Cove.

'It’s been a heartbreaking few days. This is what’s left of my house. Love,' he began the touching post. 

'Many people in Malibu and surrounding areas in California have lost their homes also and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by these fires.'  

The Hunger Games actor added: 'I spent the day in Malibu yesterday and it was amazing to see the community pulling together to help each other out in any way we can. Malibu is a strong community and this event is only going to make it stronger.'

Miley also shared a post of the 'love' sign, revealing that was all that was left in her home. 

The former Disney star, who was out of town at the time, took to her Instagram Stories to express how fortunate she was that her husband and animals all got out safely. 

'Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community,' she began at the time. 

'I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that's all that matters right now.' 

'My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA county Sheriff's department!'
