And on Tuesday night Donald Glover was stepping into the spotlight for the highly anticipated film.
The rapper and actor went retro for the night in a red and white plaid suit for the world premiere in Los Angeles.

The Atlanta actor showed off a bit of his chest with a small gold chain peaking through his low-cut white shirt and tied scarf.
He paired the vintage looking suit with red loafers.
The double breasted, red striped suit was a bit different from the animal print and animal inspired outfits of others on the carpet.

The film opens in the US on July 17 and comes 25 years after the original was released.
The rapper known as Childish Gambino stars alongside Beyonce, who voices Nala in the film, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner and Chiwetel Ejifor.
Beyonce will be releasing a song, Spirit, Tuesday night to commemorate the release, as part of the album she produced and curated for the film.
