The couple met in 2015 while on a mission trip in South America and married in November 2016 in the Cathedral of the Ozarks in Siloam Springs, Arkansas in front of nearly a thousand wedding guests.

Jinger is the child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar who are known as the strict Christian patriarchs of the famous TLC show, 19 Kids And Counting.

The show was canceled back in 2015 when the oldest son Josh, 31, admitted to molesting four of his sisters and a family friend.

After the cancellation, the spin-off Counting On was created which focuses on the oldest daughters, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and now Joy, as they maneuver through life and raise families of their own.
