        Hi, I shared it bc when I was detained in McAllen in 2014, I was with boys who were locked up. It wasn’t okay then; it’s not okay now.

        Hi, I am offended by these assumptions and mischarectizations. Especially since I witnessed kids being locked up when I shared a jail cell with little boys in Texas in 2014 when way less people were outraged

        You do know children are actually sleeping in cages like animals right? Although this pic is from a protest its still THE REAL situation and Americans are letting this sh*t happen. Y’all need to stop seeing children from other countries as animals & have some humanity.

        u post this as if it’s somehow a positive thing, if anything that reporter exposed how American are treating children as little adults in a jail, that’s America for u. That’s what America stands for, mistreating children from other countries instead of trying to fix the system

        I posted to show that they are not sleeping in cages, like animals, as you suggested. They are also not being mistreated. They are receiving better food & medical care than many American citizens. I agree, fix the system.

        You basically just made the case to keep them in the detention centers indefinitely. They go "missing" bc they don't show up to their hearings after they've been released. There's tens of thousands of them. The cost of the man power needed to track that many would be incredible.
