Hate speech is a direct assault on our core values of tolerance, inclusion and respect for human rights and human dignity. It sets groups against each other, contributes to violence and conflict, and undermines all our efforts for peace, stability and sustainable development.
The world does not have many true heroes. But the late Private Chancy Chitete, of Malawi was indeed one of them and we unfortunately lost him last year.
