According to The Sun, Greg has seen a 'significant drop in followers in the past two days'.

Avid supporters of Amber have even started a harsh online campaign, encouraging other Love Island fans to stop following Greg.

Despite online feeds suggesting fans should stick by Amber and unfollow Greg, the Islander still has 1.6million Instagram followers.

Amber was said to be 'devastated' following their split which she reportedly did not see coming.

An insider revealed: 'Amber feels used by Greg. He was always aware of the distance and his career in their relationship, and yet he chose to seek out Amber in the villa knowing there would always be the distance.

'Amber is devastated, she thought he was a lovely guy, but he's made his feelings clear over text, which isn't very sensitive.

'She had a feeling he was going to make decision to end things but only because she'd been hearing things - he hadn't the decency to tell her himself.'

Amber told the panel: 'Obviously I'm really disappointed - I wasn't expecting it all.

Since the split emerged on Friday, Greg has insisted the decision was mutual, and claimed he didn't 'dump' her via text message.

To which Amber said: 'From my point of view I still wanted to make it work.

'There was a call a few days before just chatting, not specifically to do with that and then definitely on that day it was a text.

'We were texting each other... I think there was a bit of miscommunication but I think if you don't to be with someone then you don't want to be with someone.'

Speaking on This Morning shortly after their win she admitted she was under no illusion that it'll be easy to maintain her relationship with Greg once she returned home to Newcastle and he resides in Ireland.

Amber insisted: 'I don’t think it’s going to be easy but if you want to make it work... I’m not stuck in one place.'

'In the villa we kept things moving slowly and we want to continue doing that.'

Amber had a tumultuous time in the Love Island villa with former firefighter Michael Griffiths, before Greg came in and turned things around for her.

Amber enjoyed a date with the rugby pro and was tasked with choosing between him and Michael, ultimately choosing Greg. Michael ended up being voted out.

Greg and Amber survived the final dumping and odds then plummeted on them scooping the prize.
