And on Tuesday, Mariah Carey is still celebrating its massive success. The 49-year-old singer spotted at the Empire State Building for the 25th anniversary party for the song.
The singer also had the honor to light the building during the ceremony.

And now that it's officially the holiday season, the Without You singer is celebrating more than just the anniversary to her popular carol.
After its initial release in 1994 from her album Merry Christmas, the song never reached its full potential and only peaked at the Top 10 on the Hot 100 chart.
But now, it officially gets its time to shine after reaching the number one spot 25 years after its release.

Back in November, Carey got a kick start to her holidays by releasing Merry Christmas (Deluxe Anniversary Edition) to mark the milestone.
The new deluxe album features a never-before-seen video and a new single.
According to Broadband Deals, the song alone has made her an estimated $2 million dollars in just royalties on the streaming service, Spotify.
It also reveals she could make up to another $600,000 before the end of the year from streaming off the app.
Another report from The Economist also revealed that back in 2017 the song had brought in a total of $60 million dollars.
