Cameron Diaz beams with delight as she spends some quality time with husband Benji Madden during rare outing

She's lead a life out of the spotlight ever since she retired from acting following a successful 26-year career in 2016.

And Cameron Diaz made a rare appearance with husband Benji Madden as they dined at The Bungalow in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.

The former screen star, 47, grinned from ear-to-ear as she enjoyed some downtime with the musician and his twin brother Joel, 40, at the celebrity hotspot.

Exuding effortless style, the Mask star wrapped up in a sharp grey coat, teamed with a black turtleneck jumper.

The blonde beauty maintained her chic fashion sense when it came to her accessories as she rounded off her outfit with dainty hooped earrings.

With her shoulder-length tresses scraped back into a ponytail, the Charlie's Angels actress accentuated her naturally glowing complexion with light strokes of neutral-toned make-up.

Little Things hitmaker Benji, meanwhile, looked typically edgy in a leather biker jacket and a slanted baseball cap.

Cameron recently opened up about their marriage in a rare interview, calling her long-term partner 'the greatest human being'.

The media personality told InStyle magazine in August: 'I just want to build better, stronger friendships with the people who are in it with me. Of course, that includes my husband.

'Getting married to him was the best thing that ever happened to me. My husband's the best. He's the greatest human being, and he's my great partner.

'Marriage is certainly hard, and it's a lot of work. You need somebody who's willing to do the work with you, because there's no 60-40 in marriage. It's 50-50 period. All the time.'

The couple tied the knot in January 2015 following an eight-month romance, four years after splitting from ex-baseball player Alex Rodriguez.

And while they've been enjoying their relationship, the Bad Teacher actress admitted she wasn't sure if she was 'ready' for marriage when they got hitched, but always knew Benji was 'special' due to their 'no bulls***' bond.
