An autopsy has confirmed that the body found stuffed in the trunk of a car outside a Houston home (inset) is that of missing Austin mom Heidi Broussard (left), 33, and she died by ligature strangulation. The 33-year-old mother disappeared on December 12 with her three-week-old daughter Margot. On Thursday a body suspected to be hers was found in a car outside a Houston area home, where inside investigators found a baby, believed to be Margot, alive and well. On Friday her death was ruled a homicide. Cops arrested Broussard's 'best friend' Magen Rose Fieramusca (right with Broussard), aka Maygen Humphrey, in connection to her death.

President Donald Trump signed a massive $738 billion Defense bill Friday - which will officially establish the Space Force. 'With my signature today you will witness the birth of the Space Force,' he said at a signing a Joint Base Andrews. 'And that will be now officially the sixth branch of the United States armed forces.'

Pete Buttigieg (right) was assailed by rivals in Thursday's Democratic debate for having a fundraiser at a Napa Valley wine cave (left) on Sunday, where 200 guests paid $2,800 each to attend. The fundraiser at the Hall Rutherford winery prompted Buttigieg's Democratic rival, Senator Elizabeth Warren (inset), to attack him during Thursday's debate in Los Angeles. Warren hit out at Buttigieg for having a fundraiser 'in a wine cave full of crystals and served $900-a-bottle wine.' Buttigieg hit back at Warren, noting that her net worth is more than 100 times the size of his own.

Hand gestures flashed by West Point cadets and Naval Academy midshipmen during the televised Army-Navy football game were not racist signals, an internal military investigation has found. A Navy probe of the event found that the students were participating in a 'sophomoric game' on Saturday and had no racist intent.It was apparently part of what's called the 'circle game' - where someone flashes an upside-down OK sign below the waist and punches anyone who looks at it. A statement released by the Army on Friday also rejected any racist overtones, saying the hand gestures were 'not associated with ideologies or movements that are contrary to the Army values'. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are living in Canada (inset top left) on their six-week break from royal duties. Harry and Meghan flew with their eight-month-old son Archie last month to a secret address. The duchess's mother, Doria (inset right), has been visiting from LA - and will be spending Christmas with the couple - as well as a number of friends. Meghan, 38, lived in Toronto for seven years while working as an actress on the legal drama Suits.Her close-knit group of friends in the country included fashion stylist Jessica Mulroney (pictured with Meghan top right). Meghan is also spending a great deal of time with her closest male confidant, Markus Anderson (bottom right), of private members club group Soho House.

The Duke of Edinburgh (left) was rushed to the King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone (inset) from Sandringham yesterday to be treated for a 'pre-existing condition'. It also emerged that the Duke had previously 'had a bad fall' which left him bed-bound, palace sources confirmed. The dash came as his wife left Buckingham Palace for Sandringham (right on a train at King's Cross station), where she hopes he can still join her for Christmas. Alongside the 'pre-exisiting condition' the Duke is currently being treated for, sources said he has not been in the best of health in recent weeks as he battles a flu-like condition.

Hollyoaks actress Lysette Anthony has spoken about her alleged abuse at the hands of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. In a candid interview with Channel 4, she claimed the disgraced producer raped her on two occasions, leaving her with nightmares. 'I have this memory of one morning in my little basement flat suddenly seeing this fat lump of a man stumbling down my steep little steps,' she said. 'He knocked on the door it was in the morning I only had a gown on he pushed me against my coat rack and he raped me.' She went on to claim that the film producer raped her a second time, in the room she was staying in at Cannes Film Festival. Lysette claimed last year that a 'dirty tricks' campaign left her as the only alleged victim in the UK to go public. She questioned why she has been the only Briton 'with the guts' to waive her anonymity and speak out about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of the movie mogul.

Former reality star Drita D'Avanzo (left and right), 43, and her husband, Lee, 50, had their New York home (inset) raided on Thursday evening by the NYPD. The pair were arrested on drug and weapons possession charges, as well as a count of acting in a manner injurious to a child because one of their teenage daughters was present at the time. The pair were expected to be arranged on Friday afternoon. Both Drita and her husband have been in trouble with the law before. The mom-of-two, who made her name on VH1's reality show Mob Wives, was arrested in February 2016 for punching a woman.

A fearless police dog named 'Duke' (right) leaped through a broken truck window to help cops apprehend a man accused of stalking and attempting to harm his estranged wife in California on Friday. Video footage shows the heroic hound literally fly through the cracked window of a truck to help nab the suspect, identified as Julio Vazquez (left). Vasquez was accused of leading multiple police agencies during a pursuit from Fontana to Corona, where cops used a pit maneuver to stop his truck. Police pelted the vehicle with rubber bullets enough to crack the drivers side window, which Duke leaps through to nab the fugitive driver, using 'non-lethal force.' The 5-year-old Belgian Malinois got his man without injury. 'He's totally fine,' says Sergeant Chad Fountain.

President Donald Trump accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of looking for a 'quid pro quo' for her decision to hold up two House-passed impeachment articles. He also asked why Pelosi wasn't being impeached. The Constitution does not provide for impeachment for members of Congress. Pelosi taunted Trump as the crisis over his Senate trial headed into its third day, saying he will be 'impeached forever.'

First daughter and top White House adviser Ivanka Trump shrugged off an assertion that Rudy Giuliani has made life more difficult for President Trump. 'It is what it is,' she told CBS News' Margaret Brennan in a sit-down for 'Face the Nation.' 'We're here.'

Festivus came early this year, with Sen. Rand Paul dropping his annual Festivus Report 2019 before Monday's Seinfeldian holiday. 'I got a lotta problems with federal spending, and now you're gonna hear about it!' wrote Paul, knocking off Frank Costanza's line from Seinfeld's Festivus episode, as he detailed some of the worst wastes of government spending this year.

Cruise ship Carnival Glory was manouevering to dock in Cozumel on Friday morning when it struck the Carnival Legend, which was already moored behind it, leaving one person with minor injuries. Video posted online shows the moment the two ships collide, with the rear of the Glory smashing into the prow of the Legend as shocked onlookers gasp. Images of the rear of the Glory show windows were smashed and a stretch of railing was twisted out of shape, though Carnival denied the crash affected the seaworthiness of either vessel.

John Nop owns the Boston Fish Market in Clayton County, Georgia - an establishment that has only been open for a few months. He shares that he is terrified after two gunmen robbed him on Saturday at 8pm. '"I'm going to kill your daddy,"' the armed robber reportedly said to Nop's children, the father shared. 'It's horrible, they're traumatized.'

Model Mama Cax (left and right) has died suddenly aged 30 following her battle with cancer. The American model had flown into London from New York for a photo shoot. Her family posted a picture on the model's Instagram page announcing her death today: 'It is with deep regret and immense sadness that we announce the passing of Cacsmy Brutus (Mama Cax) (inset top).

Femail can reveal that British star Ruth Wilson put in quite the performance, with a total of 21 sex scenes across four seasons, which charts her waitress character's affair with a married man. She reportedly quit her role in the raunchy hit drama because there were too many 'gratuitous nude scenes', including graphic scenes where she had sex over a car bonnet, in a swimming pool and in the shower.

Mike and Laura Bergeron of California have been dressing up in all manner of weird and wonderful outfits for their Christmas cards for more than a decade. After the births of their daughters, Gigi and Juju, they began featuring them in the holiday greetings cards as well. This year's offering was named 'A Bookie's Family Holiday', with dad Mike admitting he wanted to dress up like 'a Jewish bookie'. Last year's attempt was themed 'The West Texans' in which the couple stood wearing double-denim with their cowgirl-clad daughters. This marks the 17th year the family has sent out funny Christmas cards, and their creations go viral every single year that they do it.

Video footage has revealed the moment when NYPD cops disabled a secret surveillance camera during an alleged drug bust at a Queens smoke shop where they allegedly found 40 pounds of cocaine. Two brothers who owned the shop were jailed for a month until the case was dismissed when drug tests came back negative for the alleged cocaine seized in the raid. 'It was the worst day of my life,' said one of the brothers. 

UPS driver Sean McCarren created the UPS Dogs Facebook page in 2013, and it now has more than 1.6 million followers. The posts include the mail carriers' locations as well as some tidbits of information about the dogs. UPS Dogs has also started sharing pictures of other animals met along the way, including deer, sheep, and cats.

A 17-year-old boy was left with a $1,000 bill after a fast and furious punk rock show broke out at a Denny's in Southern California. Police said the teen - since identified as Bryson Del Valle (left) - was left holding the bag when police arrived at the 24-hour eatery in Santa Ana, California, Saturday night at about 8pm, following a show put on by hardcore punk act WACKO (inset). Video from the concert shows a mini circle pit forming as teens moshed around in front of the band. Low-hanging yellow light fixtures can be seen being batted around as the teens stormed around to the beat (right). Del Valle, of Costa Mesa, California, was said to be the only concertgoer remaining at the Denny's by the time police arrived at the scene.

Dwyane Wade, 37 (right), appeared on the All the Smoke podcast on Wednesday. He said he struggled against his own homophobia after his son, Zion, 12, came out as LGBTQ. Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, were criticized in a recent family photo in which Zion wore a crop top and acrylic nails (left). The former NBA star said he supports his son and refers to him by feminine pronouns. Wade says he feels the need to speak up for others that don't have a voice and that he doesn't feel that his son is abnormal. The basketball legend is also father to Zaire, 17; Xavier, six; Kaavia, 13 months, and guardian to nephew Dahveon, 18.

The images of the Korowai people of West Papua, Indonesia, show the almost naked tribesmen feasting on live bugs and protecting and repairing their rudimentary tree buildings. Ever since they were discovered, the tribe have been rumoured to be cannibals who live in treetop houses. Members of the tribe today still encourage such stories when asked by Western visitors, but while they certainly once lived among the branches, there is little evidence to support claims they ate human flesh.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco have released their official 2019 Christmas Card, giving their twins the starring role on the front cover, seen left. Charlene, 41, and Albert II, 61, Monaco's reigning monarch, opted for twins Jacques and Gabriella, five, to lead this year's festivities in a sweet display. Meanwhile the inside picture shows Charlene, dressed in an elegant red gown, sitting with Jaques on her lap and their pet Chihuahua by her side, right, and is the same as last year's card. Their message, inset, reads: ' May the peace and joy of the holidays  be with you every day in the New Year'.

The Lacey, New Jersey, resident's latest display reads: 'These lights didn't hang themselves... and neither did Epstein.' Jeffrey Epstein died August 10, while he was awaiting trial on charges in a Manhattan prison.

A yellow Labrador left seriously injured when he was hit by a car has been separated from his brother who stayed loyally by his side in the aftermath of the accident.  The yellow Lab, Brennan, was struck by the vehicle in Dade City, Florida on December 4th. But while the driver quickly sped off, Brennan's brother, a chocolate lab named Dale, waited with him until help arrived - a generous act that one canine expert says is incredibly rare. Brennan was left with serious injuries, and one vet stated that he might have to be put down. But an animal welfare charity stepped in to raise funds to for his surgery.

Child actor Macaulay Culkin (top right, bottom right as an adult) played Kevin McCallister, whose suburban Chicago family accidentally left him behind on their Christmas trip to Paris; he not only learns to fend for himself but also hilariously fends off two bumbling burglars. An entire generation - and now their children - watch the film each year, and chef McAllister tells DailyMail.com he's even considered creating a menu featuring some of the character's favorite treats.

Footage from the US shows a UPS delivery man making several trips to and from his loaded lorry to leave piles of cardboard packages in front of someone's garage. The video was uploaded to Instagram yesterday with the caption 'neighbours went in' and already has over two million views.

Surveillance footage showed the woman brazenly stacking up a pile of parcels in the lobby of the building and putting them in a crate in an apartment block in Berkeley, California, last Sunday evening. She then picked up the box and calmly walked outside, where she took the packages to her car and drove off. Several residents of the Berkeley apartment block later noticed they were missing packages and police released the footage yesterday as they appealed for information about the suspect.

Bethany (left and right), an eight-month-old Labrador cross, was born with a condition that means her entire snout twists and droops to one side, exposing her teeth. While her lop-sided face may be startling to look at, it doesn't impact the 'happy-go-lucky' pooch's health in any way. Bethany, who was vet-checked and approved to travel from Romania to UK after her rescue, can eat, drink, run and play just like any other pup. Now her rescuers at the charity Safe Rescue For Dogs, who are based in Norwich, Norfolk, where Bethany is being fostered, desperately want to find this special girl a permanent home.

A video of a cat appearing to supervise its owner' son when he is doing his homework has gone viral in China. The 19-second clip shows the grey moggy sitting on a table next to the boy who seems to be having trouble finishing his maths assignment. The strict pet is seen giving the pupil a few death stares as soon as he stops writing.
