Halle Berry is wrapping up work before the holidays and filming her final scenes for the upcoming movie Bruised.
The 53-year-old will make her directorial debut as well as star in the drama about a disgraced MMA fighter.
She was spotted shooting scenes with a young co-star on a cold day in New Jersey on Thursday.

Looking nothing like her usual glam self, Halle has transformed into a tough MMA fighter for the role.
In the scene she was filming with a young boy who plays her son, Halle sported a prosthetic bruised and swollen shiner under one eye, a split lip and stitches on her head.
She was dressed in an oversized black sweatsuit and a black knit beanie while wheeling luggage down a dark New Jersey street.
Her co-star also tugged a small rolling suitcase behind him in the scene and wore a blue puffer coat.

Bruised marks the directorial debut for the Oscar-winning actress and she took to social media this week to reflect on the journey.

A few months back, production was temporarily halted after the star suffered an injury while filming.
Executive producer Brian Pitt wouldn't say what the injury Berry suffered was, but made it clear that it was, 'nothing serious.'

'Halle got slightly injured in the fight,' Pitt said in an interview. 'She's tired. She needed a break.'
'Occasionally what's going to happen is an actor might get a little injured, and we might adjust scheduling around them a little bit,' Pitt said.
'We are in the process of just moving things around for actor availability,' Pitt says, adding that the possibility of injuries in a film about MMA is always a possibility.
Filming took place in Atlantic City, New Jersey and well as other locations in the Garden State like Camden, New Jersey.
