The moment appeared to come out of nowhere as his love-interest quickly turned to him with her mouth agape.

However the proposal wasn't official as sources close to Dog told TMZ on Wedneday that the reality star was caught up in the moment and that he did not give her a ring during the taping last week thus they are not engaged.

Production insiders on set of The Dr. Oz Show set felt like the proposal was actually legit at the time according to the publication.

The appearance on television came just weeks after Dog defended his romance with his son's ex girlfriend and BFF to his recently-departed wife, saying that he's an empty nester in need of companionship as he mourns Beth.

'Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her,' the reality TV personality, 66, told Radar. 'There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn't mean I have to be so sad.'

The veteran bounty hunter praised Moon as 'a trustworthy and loyal friend to [him] for over 20 years,' and 'experienced' with him and the family dynamic.

'She has been with my family through many ups and downs,' the Dog’s Most Wanted personality said. 'All my children are grown and gone on their own, there's no one left to help me!'

Chapman told the outlet he believes the lord answered his prayers in the wake of Beth's June 26 passing at the age of 51 at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.

'I know Almighty God hears my broken heart and I didn't ask him for another Mrs. Chapman, but I asked him for a friend and He gave me Moon,' said Chapman, who on Tuesday posed in a selfie with Angell on Instagram.

The relationship between Dog and Angell is not a romantic one, an insider told People earlier this month, calling her 'a family friend to Beth and Dog for years.

'Since Beth's death, she has stepped in to help Dog in his time of need,' the insider said. 'There will never be another Beth.'

Chapman's statements came in the wake of bad blood between Angell and his daughter Lyssa, who called Angell 'disgusting' and has slammed her for preying on a widower in his most tender of times.

She added: 'Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a "friend" to, Is the lowest scum on the planet-Which for you wasn’t that far of a step down from where you were before. God will get you MARY!!!'

Lyssa also revealed that Angell had dated one of Dog's sons previously though she did not identify which one as the reality star has 10 sons.

She wrote: 'If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your step-mom died what would you do?'

Lyssa again referred to the relationship between Angell and her father in a tweet from early January.

'Happiness is granted to all, and all I wish is happiness for my family,' she said. 'When a person who has ill intentions, that my mother specifically warned me about before her passing tries to enter, the war is on.

She added: The devil ALWAYS goes for the weakest link. Not today satan.'

Lyssa, who's mother is Dog's third wife Lyssa Rae Brittain, later said that she entrusts her father to decide what is best for himself, but will not endorse any type of romantic relationship between the two.

'My dad is a GROWN A** MAN,' she said. 'His money. His dynasty.

'But you can guarantee that my name is not going down in history as a person who supported this.'  R
