Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios announced Monday they're postponing the June 19 US release of their animated flick Soul until November 20 due to the coronavirus.
Jamie Foxx was 'honored' to make history as the first African-American lead in a Pixar movie voicing middle school music teacher Joe Gardner, who suffers a mysterious 'soul-separating' accident.

In the existential fantasy, Gardner's soul travels back to soul-academy You Seminar, where he meets other souls-in-training that help him find his way back to Earth to play a jazz gig at the Half Note Club.
Directing duo Pete Docter and Kemp Powers' adventure flick also stars Phylicia Rashad, Quest Love, Tina Fey, Daveed Diggs, and Angela Bassett.

Disney and Pixar's last big-screen effort Onward - which earned $103.2M at the box office and scored 88% on Rotten Tomatoes - began streaming on Disney+ and VOD on April 3 just two weeks after its theatrical release.
