Whitney Port gets real about the insecurities she has been grappling with during quarantine: 'I was feeling like an especially sh*tty person'
On the surface, Whitney Port seems to have it all.
From her glossy outfits to her successful business, the reality star seems to be living the life.
But turns out that is far from the case.
The Hills star, 35, penned a brutally honest message about all the insecurities she had been grappling with while under quarantine on Sunday.

In a lengthy message posted to her Instagram stories, Whitney came clean about all the pressure she had been putting on herself.
'Today was not a good day,' she wrote. 'I feel EXCEPTIONALLY guilty not having a good day considering we are all healthy, but the feelings of insecurity just wouldn't go away. I have had a lot of insecurities for a while and they have grown more since the quarantine.'
Whitney feels she hasn't been completely honest with fans about just how deep her insecurities run.
'I try to lead a good example, which for me has always meant being real with you guys and hoping I've created a safe place for us to share our deepest, darkest secrets, but I haven't been totally honest about how much negative self-talk actually do.

'I sometimes don't think I'm a good person. Like wonder why I don't care about so many things or don't take things seriously or only think about how something is going to affect me.
She also shared the insecurities she had been feeling in her relationship with her husband, TV producer Tim Rosenman.
'I'm not good on my phone, I'm lazy, I don't write back to my friends and family sometimes for days, I don't want timmy to have fun without me or even feel a need to be away from me, etc. etc., etc., and this quarantine has magnified that all.
'I get jealous when timmy is on the phone for too long, I don't really want to interact with a lot of people and I feel like I don't have a clear purpose. There's a lot more but it doesn't matter. The point is, I was feeling like an especially sh*tty person today. I hadn't checked in on my sister in days and finally decided to check in.

Candid: Port shared the depth of her insecurities on Instagram
'I honestly can't tell you why I go dark and don't want the connection. I need to work on why that is. But I texted her to check in and of course, as the mature, loving, wise and courageous older sister she is, @bkevents sent me back this and after lots of tears and guilt, I feel ok.
'The last thing I want is for anyone to feel sorry for me. I know I am an incredibly blessed person but thought I owed you guys some sincerity. I also thought if I wrote it down and confessed it all, I would be more conscious of it and actually hold myself accountable to change.'
Whitney shared the message she received from her older sister Ashley Port, who urged her to stop 'judging' herself during this particularly difficult time.
'I wish you could see yourself through someone else's eyes,' she assured her.
Whitney is certainly used to opening up with fans about personal matters on her podcast, With Whit.
She also invited fans into her life as the star of The Hills and The City, where she met her future husband, Tim.
The couple married in 2015 and share two-year-old son Sonny.
