Todd Chrisley, 52, marks the Easter holiday with an expression of gratitude as he recovers from COVID-19: 'I thank you God for my health'

He is known for his reality TV persona as a self-made successful real estate mogul and man of faith, and he had a lot to be thankful for over this holiday weekend.

Todd Chrisley celebrated Easter on Sunday with a heartfelt post to his Instagram account, in which he quoted a verse from the bible and expressed gratitude to god for his health as he recuperates from COVID-19.

The Atlanta, Georgia-based businessman, 52, posted a verse from Proverbs situated over a photograph of a sky at sunset, which also displayed the words 'Have a blessed Easter!' along the bottom.

'I Thank you God for my health, my relationship with you and for my family and friends,' the father-of-five wrote in the caption.

'I celebrate your resurrection and applaud you for your commitment to us all,' Todd concluded.

Last week, the reality star made the revelation on his family podcast Chrisley Confessions that he had tested positive for the coronavirus and ended up in the hospital for nearly five days, saying that he was the 'the sickest that [he'd] ever been.'

Chrisley described that his fever toggled between 100 and 103 degrees, after claiming that he had 'been battling corona for three weeks.'

'I cannot ever tell you a time in my life where I have ever been as sick as what I had been with the coronavirus,' Todd said on the podcast.

The Chrisley Knows Best star, who was talking with his wife Julie on the podcast, vowed he's 'not going anywhere' and looks to gradually regain his health after becoming infected with the novel virus.

'I'm not running the risk of getting any sicker than I've already been,' he said. 'Hopefully, I will get better everyday ... I'm probably about 70 to 75 percent of what I normally am.'

Todd also commented about the shutdown of most services in an effort to quell the virus, saying he's 'never seen our country at a standstill' as it is.

And while his  daughter Savannah, 22, was actively concerned for her father, writing on Instagram that she has 'never been so scared in my life,' other family members retained a little more distance.

Older Chrisley sister Lindsie, who is estranged from their father, mentioned to local TMX News station last Thursday 'we haven't had any contact at all' even after she learned of her dad's current health condition.

Nonetheless, Lindsie does still wish Todd well, saying 'Differences aside, the world and what we're facing right now is something so incredibly scary. I wouldn't wish this on like my way worst enemy, at the end of the day, he's still my dad and I don't want him to be sick.'
