Thailand discovers 9 new coronavirus cases; third day of single-digit reporting

Thailand’s government said on Wednesday that it had discovered 9 new coronavirus infections bringing the total number of infected to 2,947.

It is the third day in a row that the number of new infections was limited to single digits.

There were no new fatalities with the death toll still at 54.

13 more patients have recovered from the virus bringing the total number of discharged patients to 2,665.

Thailand’s southern provinces are still the site of the largest outbreak outside of Bangkok with 674 cases. While the north has seen many provinces that have not reported cases in at least two weeks.
