171 New Coronavirus Cases in Afghanistan, Total 3,563

The Ministry of Public Health on Thursday announced that in the past 24 hours 171 positive cases have been recorded across the country, and the country total is 3,563.

The 117 new coronavirus cases were reported in Kabul (34), Herat (45), Kandahar (16), Paktia (18), Ghazni (10), Badghis (15), Logar (2), Bamiyan (13), Panjshir (3), Wardak (9), Zabul (2), Badakhshan (2) and Khost (1).

The ministry said that in the past 24 hours there have been 2 deaths and 8 recoveries.

The total number of reported recoveries in the country is 468, and total deaths is 106.

So far, 14,389 people have been tested, according to the ministry.

The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 263,841, and 3,753,112 have been infected with the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University.

So far 1,245,544 other people have recovered, JHU said.
