The cast of “The Sound of Your Heart” (KBS)

“The Sound of Your Heart,” a web series based on the popular eponymous webtoon, is off to a good start, reaching nearly 10 million views in just six days after its release.

The series was first uploaded on Naver TV Cast on Nov. 7. Two new episodes each will be uploaded on Mondays and Thursdays. The 20-part series is also scheduled to begin airing on KBS in December.

As of Sunday, the show had reached over 9.68 million views. The number is the highest for web dramas launched on Naver TV Cast so far.

The web series draws on the highly popular original webtoon series, launched on Naver Webtoon in 2006. It tells the semi-autobiographical story of cartoonist Jo Seok (played by actor Lee Kwang-soo) and his family of four, his girlfriend, and several other “ordinary” characters.

The series is directed by Ha Byeong-hoon and stars Kim Dae-myung as Jo’s brother and Jeon So-min as Aebong, Jo’s girlfriend.
