On February 25, Henry wrapped the titular role in Robert Schwentke's action flick Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, which hits US theaters October 22, 2021.
'I think the heart of the story really is who Snake is and his journey as a person, really. Understanding his motivations,' Golding told EW of the ninja commando on Thursday.
'I can't give away too much, but it really focuses on the one person instead of having 20 people on screen and understanding background. We start from the beginning. And, hopefully, this launches an amazing franchise.'

The Gentlemen action star added: 'With some of the fight scenes there are some chimbara sequences. A lot of attention to cultural detail was put into this movie. There are not a lot of movies that are allowed to film in Japan and we went to some amazing, amazing places. The authenticity is there.'
The postponed G.I. Joe prequel also features Andrew Koji, Iko Uwais, Peter Mensah, Úrsula Corberó, and Samara Weaving as Snake's onscreen love interest Scarlett.
But first, audiences can catch Henry as Kit - British Vietnamese man returning to his birth country - in Hong Khaou's romantic drama Monsoon, which starts streaming VOD on November 13.
