In an interview with the Herald Sun's Confidential on Thursday, music mogul and co-owner of Melbourne Cup 2020's winning horse Twilight Payment, Michael Gudinski, revealed the surprising comment that was cut of Kylie's TV broadcast.

'She sent me a note (after the TV interview saying), "all that hard yakka (for nothing)",' Michael told the publication while laughing.

'I haven't heard (the term) "hard yakka" for a long time. She misses Melbourne, she's our true girl,' he went on to say of the London-based star.

'But she couldn't believe (Ten) cut out her tipping the winner of the Melbourne Cup.'

'Lockdown happened, and I had to figure out how to do everything remotely,' she explained.

'It was very exciting to get the equipment, fire up my logical-rational brain and find the right place in the house to put it.

'I was dragging [around] duvets and blankets and clothes racks to make [my lounge room] good for sound.'
