PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Clare Crawley and Dale Moss are seen for the first time since announcing engagement as they pack on PDA in Sacramento

The Bachelorette's Clare Crawley and her fiancé Dale Moss looked happy in love, as they stepped out for the first time since announcing their shocking engagement.

As the affectionate duo strolled around her hometown in Sacramento, California, they couldn't keep their hands to themselves, while kissing and holding hands.

Showing off their undeniable chemistry, the former wide receiver, 32, picked up his new fiancée, 39, in his muscular arms for a tender hug on Friday afternoon.

For their outing, the reality star cut a casual figure in a pair of light-wash jeans, a cropped black long sleeve and toted a warm beverage from Starbucks.

Meanwhile, Moss flaunted his bulging biceps in a grey graphic t-shirt with a quote from the 2008 film Step Brothers, which read: 'You have to call me dragon.'

During the smitten lovebirds's walk through McKinley Park, the professional athlete protectively flanked her side, as they exchanged loving glances and chatted away.

Since their historic and premature Bachelorette exit, the lovebirds have been  reflecting on their love story on a number of press rounds.

'It feels very surreal,' Clare, 39, told Good Morning America on Friday. 'It happened a few months ago, but it's still so fresh and I could not be more excited.'

Thursday night's action-packed episode saw Clare become engaged to Dale, just four episodes into the series, and Tayshia Adams being brought in to replace her.

It was love at first sight for Clare, who suspected Dale was her future husband right after seeing him step out of the limo on night one.

Dale knew pretty quickly Clare was the one for him, as well.

'After the first night, and I even said it the first time I knew it was special, but after we had our first group date, in my mind and in my heart, everything was already written,' he explained. 'Everything after the fact just validated that, and I knew in my heart that it was going to be her and I at the end of the day.'

While the couple's relationship certainly accelerated at a much faster rate than prior Bachelor couples, Dale said he never felt rushed to propose to Clare.

'I said, from the beginning there was never a time I wouldn't be there for you, and my heart was so full and I knew exactly what I wanted to do,' he explained. 'So never a second thought, and if you see even in the episode we're so relaxed and we're so calm together, and we knew at that moment that we were exactly where we needed to be.'

However, Clare has been receiving backlash on social media.

While it hasn't been 'easy' for her, she still wishes the best for her trolls.

'I'd be lying if I said it's been easy, because I'm human, and the things people say without knowing the full truth and without seeing exactly how things really happened and genuinely happened, it just blows my mind in a world right now where there's so much negativity and hate and hard things going on right now. Love and this type of thing should not be one of those things, so it kind of blows me away,' Clare said.

She continued: 'I want to send them love because I think hurt people hurt people, and if you care enough to go on my social media, go on his social media, take the time to write things out and spread hate, it just really says kind of what's going internally on with them if you're coming from a place of anger or a place of hate. So, for me, just want to send them nothing but love.'

The couple's lightning-fast relationship sparked rumors they had spoken before the show, however the duo laughed off the speculation.

'Not even close!' Dale insisted.

'That's not true at all, and as a matter of fact next week you'll see on the next episode we have a sit down with Chris Harrison and we'll go over that and explain that a lot,' Clare said.

Before becoming engaged to Dale with a 4.5 carats Neil Lane ring, Clare needed to break the news to the 16 remaining contestants who came to meet her.

The big break-up was 'incredibly hard' for Clare, who was touched these men left their lives to meet her.

'It was incredibly hard because as much as I believed in us and do believe in us, still having to break up with that many guys at once that came there for a shot at love with me was really hard because I've had a hard time finding love with just one guy, so for all these guys to show up it meant everything to me that they were there and I did nothing but like have so much love and respect for them, so it was really, really a hard thing.'

On Saturday, Crawley documented her and Moss' 'first coffee together' with a funny video of themselves talking with a voice altering app.

In the recording Moss started out the video saying, 'Alright y'all, so who sounds better?'

'What voices are on? Normal?' the Bachelorette star replied, while wearing an oversized white hoodie, before learning it was on 'giant voice.'

When she asks if she sounds like a 'giant,' he sweetly told her she sounded 'beautiful.'
