Faryal Makhdoom cut a glam figure as she posed alongside her husband Amir Khan at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards at the Armani Hotel on Sunday.

The brunette, 29, notably clutched hold of a facemask for the snaps as she arrived alongside her boxer husband, 34, after being criticised for travelling abroad despite experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.

She had bragged about losing six pounds (2.7 kgs) during a questions and answer session with fans - having lost her sense of taste and smell, one of the symptoms of the coronavirus.

She didn't state how long ago this happened or if she was tested for the virus, but still jetted to Dubai for the glitzy event.

She posed alongside Amir, who looked smart in a tuxedo.

Faryal wore a sparkling gold top over satin black trousers.

She wore her dark mane around her pretty features, made-up with golden tones, dark mascara and a nude gloss to her pout.

'I've lost six pounds': She revealed she 'lost her sense of taste' but jetted off to Dubai despite it being a main Covid symptom

Mother-of-three Faryal told her 900,000 Instagram followers: 'I lost about six pounds, it's driving me nuts.'

She then said in a Snapchat post: 'I’ve lost about six pounds because I’ve not been eating properly and it’s making me so sad.'

But in the online Q&A video, one fan asked: 'How did you lose six pounds?'

Faryal said on Instagram: 'Because I’ve not been properly eating. Because I couldn’t taste anything for about like two-and-a-half weeks.'

The video was also posted on her Snapchat but with the reference to her loss of taste edited out.

In the clip she can be seen in bed answering the questions last night/on Sunday with former WBA and IBF light-welterweight world champion ring king Amir, 34.

The couple are currently holidaying in Dubai despite her revealing she had one of the main Covid-19 symptoms. Anyone displaying symptoms should not be able to fly.

Amir posted on his Snapchat, 'Lovely day in Dubai' with a video as they enjoyed a meal.

Faryal also shared Snapchat videos of their hotel pool near the five-star Burj Al Arab hotel. She said: 'This resort is just...' and a sticking tongue out emoji. 

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Faryal for comment.

This comes days after Amir was accused of blatantly breaching coronavirus rules after a birthday party was held with at least 18 people in a luxurious mansion.

The former world champion from Bolton, Greater Manchester, posted a video of the large gathering on his social media, telling the camera: 'All the boys are here.'

Khan said the party was a 'surprise' with his family and friends also appearing to have hired a private chef and installed a huge sign in lights displaying his nickname 'King'.

He lives in a £1.5million six-bedroom house with his wife Faryal and their three children Muhammad, Lamaisah and Alayna in Bolton. 

A huge boxing-themed cake was made by staff at Zara Cakes Manchester, based in Prestwich, which confirmed to MailOnline it was a delivery to a Manchester address.

However it is not known where the party was held, apart from in a property thought to have been hired. The menu included steak, chicken and sea bass.

The chef is believed to have been Alex Beard, a three Michelin star-trained chef based in the Lake District who charges up to £160 per person for bookings. 

In the video posted online, Khan told the camera: 'All the boys are here... So, basically it was a surprise for me - and they did this for me as well, 'King'.

'So it was a birthday surprise in the house where I had dinner with everyone, my close friends. And we've brought Lamaisah along as well - Lamaisah!'

Neither police nor Khan's representatives have yet commented on the party, which comes ahead of the couple's new BBC reality show Meet The Khans in March 2021.

Chef who has cooked for royalty and worked with the Roux family 

 

Private chef Alex Beard has cooked for royalty and heads of state is thought to have been hired by Amir Khan's friends and family for last night's birthday party.

He worked for five years up to Senior Sous Chef at the Waterside Inn in Bray, a flagship three Michelin star restaurant founded by the Roux family.

Mr Beard, 35, was trained in French cooking under the guidance of Michel and Alain Roux, and last November took over at the The Punch Bowl in Crosthwaite, Cumbria, which is a two AA rosette restaurant.

He studied at Lancaster University but decided to move to the Lake District with his wife Helen after travelling the world and cooking in Italy and India.

It is the fourth time during the coronavirus pandemic that Khan has been accused of breaking Covid-19 rules, and it also comes following other reported breaches in recent days by the likes of Sky News presenter Kay Burley and pop star Rita Ora. 

A source close to Khan confirmed to MailOnline at the time that the party was not at the boxer’s home, and had been organised by his wife and eldest child.

The other two children are with his mother-in-law in New York – and Khan’s parents, siblings and other members of his family were not invited. Khan later removed the videos showing the meal from his Instagram, but they were still on his Snapchat. 

Khan, who has not fought since July 2019 when he beat Billy Dib in Saudi Arabia, has insisted he is not ready to retire amid hopes he will soon fight rival Kell Brook. 

It comes six weeks after Khan was accused of breaking two-week quarantine rules after travelling from New York to Britain and failing to self-isolate.

The boxer posted pictures from a trip to the US, including a picture with his daughter Alayna, two, at Staten Island Mall – before uploading another image of him in London taken nine days afterwards.

Khan also visited ex-diplomat of Pakistan, Mansoor Raja, at his residence in London during the two-week period, which could also have potentially put him at risk.

In a further Instagram story, he posed with his arms around a group of four friends, which appeared to be another break in following social distancing rules. 

It is not known if Khan is exempt from the current rules given his status as a sporting professional, but if he is not, then the overseas travel documented on his Instagram profile would suggest he is in breach of the regulations.

He was also previously accused of breaking lockdown restrictions in August when he celebrated Eid with friends and family in Bolton.

And in May, he was also reported to have flouted the rules after meeting up with his parents following a three-year feud, so they could meet his son, Muhammad Zaviyar, for the first time since he was born.

Khan, who has still been travelling throughout the pandemic, went on holiday with his wife Faryal to Dubai in September, with the pair sharing photos from the luxury destination.

Khan is not the only celebrity to have been accused of breaking coronavirus rules in recent weeks.

Kay Burley and a string of Sky News staff have been taken off air after the channel launched a probe into claims they broke virus rules while celebrating her 60th birthday.

The veteran journalist was absent from presenting duties yesterday after issuing an apology for 'inadvertently' breaching Tier Two restrictions during the event in London on Saturday.

She and her close friend, Sky's political editor Beth Rigby, attended a birthday dinner with eight other friends and colleagues at Soho's Century Club restaurant.
