MEDFORD, Wis. (WAOW)— A nursing home and flower shop in Medford are teaming up so that residents feel loved on Valentines day.

For $15 people in the community and family members of residents of Our House Senior Living can purchase a bouquet from Green Bee Floral Designs that has roses, a gerbera daisy, greens and filler all wrapped with a bow.

The bouquets will be given to residents on February 12.

Also with the flower arrangement is a card where a message can be included, people that purchase bouquet can leave their name or remain anonymous.

Prior to COVID-19, the owner of the flower shop would visit with residents when making deliveries, and the reactions when residents received their flowers was one of the best parts of the deliveries.

"Usually it's always a great reaction. I mean flowers bring joy, that's the best part of my job and that's why I keep doing it and specifically at these nursing homes it's always very joyful. The residents joke with me," said Naomi Hartl, owner and founder of the Green Bee Floral Designs.

As of Monday afternoon there were already 36 bouquets purchased, which is more than the number of residents at the home. The extra arrangements will go to other nursing homes in the area.

"We want to be able to bring love to everybody around this community not just these residents," said Joshua Shamrowicz who is the executive director of Our House Senior Living.
