DVMD Copplestone Cross

A surviving Wayside Cross; Copplestone Cross (old head, shaft & base) . Standing by the A377 , in parish of COPPLESTONE (MID DEVON District). Located at the crossroads, in the village centre, positioned on a paved island. This was relocated to the village. There is a niche cut into the older engravings on one face and tenons for other attachments on the top. The engraving is generally still in good relief. NGR is SS 77068 02606; Grade II Listed. .
