Closed beta coming to an end next month

United Front Games is shutting down its Sleeping Dogs spin-off, Triad Wars, in January, the developer announced on its forums. Triad Wars, which is currently in closed beta, just "wasn't right for many" of its players, according to a statement.

"Since the start of the Triad Wars Closed Beta this year, diligent Enforcers have run rampant through the streets of Hong Kong, killing rivals and building Empires," the developer said. "During this time we have gathered immense amounts of feedback, information, and data on the game. We've loved seeing how you've played Triad Wars but we know it wasn't right for many of you so we're letting you know today that we are going to close the beta and service on January 20th 2016 at 12 p.m. Pacific Standard Time."

Triad Wars will still be "up and running" for the next four weeks, but developer is no longer accepting purchases of in-game currency.

United Front Games announced Triad Wars as a free-to-play Windows PC game set in the Sleeping Dogs universe, in 2013. The game went into closed beta, which you can see in action in the video below, earlier this year.
