The Oscar-nominated actor later slipped off the cap and showed off his tussled blond tresses as he chatted to other crew members.

He also appeared to have a gash on the left side of his face, which is likely part of his character.

Ryan is currently in Australia with his actress with Eva Mendes and their children while filming his new project.

The Fall Guy is based on the popular 1980s TV series starring Lee Majors, Heather Thomas and Markie Post.

The series ran from 1981 to 1986 and centred on a stuntman who has a side-hustle as a bounty hunter.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the side-hustle plot is being ditched.

Gosling will instead play a past-his-prime stuntman working with a movie star who once replaced him but has now gone missing.

Development on the film adaptation of the program initially began in 2010, and Martin Campbell was eyed as its director.

When the star goes missing, the stuntman is the number one suspect.

Alongside Ryan, the upcoming blockbuster also stars Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Stephanie Hsu.

Ryan appears to be making the most of his time Down Under and on Monday dressed up as a monster to take his children out trick or treating in Bondi.

While Halloween is not quite as big a holiday Down Under as it is in the States, it has picked up in popularity in recent years and costumed children skipping around their neighbourhoods collecting candy is becoming a more common sight.

The 41-year-old Crazy Stupid Love actor got in the spirit by donning a monster mask as he and Eva, 48, strolled through the beachside suburb with their kids.

The Hitch actress and her husband accompanied their daughters Esmeralda, eight, and Amada, six.
