Elton John's reps deny the music legend is moving to Australia amid reports his manager went house hunting in Sydney

Rumours have been swirling that music legend Sir Elton John could be headed Down Under for a longterm stay.

However the Rocket Man hitmaker has no plans to move to Australia, according to the 76-year-old's representatives. 

'Elton isn't looking to move there,' a representative told Daily Mail Australia, after denying Elton was looking at property in Sydney. 

The statement  comes after a report Elton had his representatives investigating buying up ultra-exclusive real estate in Sydney worth a staggering $50million.

The North Shore Times claimed Sir Elton's manager was spotted eyeing off an amazing penthouse in the prestige Kurraba Residences on Friday.

Famed for its eye-watering views of Sydney harbour, the block, located on the northern foreshore at Kurraba Point opened last December. 

According to the report most of the 24 apartments in the stylish block have already been sold. 

However, two of the penthouses - both worth an estimated $50million - have yet to go under the hammer.

One of them appears to be styled as a 'superstar' pad. Known as the 'The Kurraba' it is 600squre metres and features four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Highlights include a gym, a roof top garden and a private pool.

There's also a steam room, wine cellar and a private elevator for discrete street access. 

The view, meanwhile, is spectacular, since the block sits across the harbour from Potts Point and the Royal Botanic Gardens. 

Sir Elton, who has been travelling to Australian since 1971, has been known to spend long periods Down Under between time travelling on the road with his band.

In 2017 the Tiny Dancer hit maker said 'I always love coming back to Australia,'' ahead of his umpteenth tour here.

At the time concert promoter Michael Chugg said, 'Elton loves Australia and Australians, it's an ongoing affair.'

In 1984 Sir Elton married German-born sound engineer Renate Blauel in a traditional ceremony in Sydney's St Mark's church.

It wasn't until 1988 that the flamboyant performer announced he was openly gay - around the same time the couple divorced.

Sir Elton and his husband David Furnish in 2014 and are known to own a large real estate portfolio in Europe, the U.K. and the U.S.
