Kirsten Dunst shows off her toned legs in saucy Marie Claire cover shoot... as she raves about her 'creative' love with husband Jesse Plemons

Kirsten Dunst showed off her endless legs in lingerie as she starred in a saucy new cover shoot for the latest issue of Marie Claire.

The 41-year-old movie star was agelessly luminous as she posed up a storm in a set of Miu Miu briefs and a top from the same brand.

Her Miu Miu t-shirt was tight enough to emphasize her enviably lithe physique as she shot the camera an enigmatic stare.

In the pages of Marie Claire, she waxed rhapsodic about the romantic and artistic connection she shares with her husband and repeated co-star Jesse Plemons.

'Because we fell in love on a set, we fell in love creatively first,' she reflected. 'I think we'll always come back to that, in a very not-involving-our-real-life way.'

Their offscreen romance developed while they were playing a couple on Fargo, and they have since married and welcomed two sons - Ennis, five, and James, two.

In 2021, they played a couple again in Jane Campion's acclaimed gay western The Power Of The Dog, which netted Oscar nominations for both Jesse and Kirsten.

Jesse also makes a brief appearance in Kirsten's upcoming movie Civil War, which stars her as a photojournalist covering America's descent into armed conflict.

In spite of the professional connection the share, Kirsten revealed that 'we don't talk to each other on set. I left him alone, he left me alone.'

Notwithstanding, the Marie Antoinette actress gushed: 'I working with him. What's nice is that we trust each other so much.'

She recalled: 'He sent me a scene last night of this miniseries he's working on to get my opinion. If I'm having a hard time deciding on something, I'll have him read it. I trust his opinion more than anyone, and he cares about me more than anyone.'

Kirsten teased with a laugh that she and Jesse 'hate the same things,' though se declined to provide any details to the public.

Although their movie tastes run to European art favorites, Kirsten confessed she would also be willing to feature in another superhero movie.

She first became a global name by starring as Mary Jane opposite Tobey Maguire in the smash hit Spider-Man trilogy directed by Sam Raimi.

If asked to return to the genre, she would agree 'because you get paid a lot of money, and I have two children, and I support my mother.'

That being said, at the time of the interview she had not 'worked in two years,' she said, noting that after her role as a tortured alcoholic mother in The Power Of The Dog, 'every role I was being offered was the sad mom.'

Despite her own recent Oscar nomination, she maintains an aloof disregard for awards shows, of which she thinks there are 'too many' anyway.

Her disinterest in the Academy Awards extends to the point that she candidly admitted: 'I don't know who won last year.'

Kirsten herself has never won an Oscar but feels 'it's good to be an underdog. If you [win] Academy Awards, sometimes it's not always good for your career.'

Nevertheless she does believe she will ultimately get the gong, when 'I'll be old, and they'll be like, 'Let's finally give her one.'
