Timothée Chalamet carries a guitar on set of his Bob Dylan biopic in LA... after revealing Austin Butler inspired him to enhance his level of preparation for the role

Timothée Chalamet was seen carrying an acoustic guitar in Los Angeles while arriving to a rehearsal for his upcoming Bob Dylan biopic on Wednesday.

As he prepared to get into character as, arguably, one of the greatest songwriters of all time, the actor, 28, attempted to keep a low profile as he sported a New York Yankees over his wavy brown curls, white hoodie and blue velvet pants.

He completed his casual ensemble with a black t-shirt, face mask and multi-colored sneakers.

Previously, the star learned to play the guitar for his role in Luca Guadagnino's Call Me by Your Name, based on the novel of the same name by André Aciman.

Additionally, he has been taking more lessons following news of his casting as the  legendary Bob Dylan in the upcoming James Mangold-directed biopic.

The film will reportedly focus on the folk singer's explosively controversial decision to go electric in 1965.

In a recent interview with GQ, the boyfriend of Kylie Jenner revealed that he has been readying himself for the biopic with help from the team who coached Austin Butler for Elvis.

'I’ve basically been working with his entire Elvis team for my Dylan prep,' Timothee dished.

'There’s a wonderful dialect coach named Tim Monich. Vocal coach named Erich Vetro. Movement coach named Polly Bennett.'

In a tip of the hat to Austin's performance as Elvis, he added: 'I just saw the way he committed to it all - and realized I needed to step it up.'

His upcoming Bob Dylan film, entitled A Complete Unknown, is directed by James Mangold, whose filmography includes the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line.

Benedict Cumberbatch features as the Stalinist folk singer Pete Seeger, with Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash and Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez.

Elle Fanning will be delivering a turn as Timothee's love interest, with PJ Byrne in a supporting role as the legendary music manager Harold Leventhal.

In 2022, the actor told Variety that he hasn't 'stopped preparing' since landing the role, which he called 'one of the greatest gifts' of his career.

'It’s been a wonderful experience getting to dive into that world, whether we get to make it or not,' he continued. 'But without giving anything away — because I don’t want to beat anyone to the punch, and obviously things have to come together officially — the winds that are blowing are blowing in a very positive direction.'
