Kylie Jenner responds to speculation that her 'clean girl' style is inspired by boyfriend Timothée Chalamet: 'I don't know how I feel about that'

Kylie Jenner has responded to speculation that her new more conservative 'clean girl' style has been inspired by boyfriend Timothée Chalamet.

The lip kit mogul, 26, discussed her new look in an interview with The New York Times, which referenced a puff-sleeve 'cottagecore' maxi dress she wore on vacation last year.

The mom-of-two was asked if the style evolution has been prompted by her relationship with the American/French Dune actor, 28, whom she's been linked to since 2023.

'I don't know how I feel about that,' Kylie — whose fans recently voiced fears that the couple have split — replied, adding, 'I just don't want to talk about personal things.'

The Kardashians star also shared she had not seen any comments about the theories regarding her style as she only reads feedback about her businesses and products.

She said the birth of her second child — son Aire Webster, 2 — was the reason for her new style.

'It takes me a while after I have a baby to feel like myself again,' she revealed. 'Then you get your body back, and you're like, "Wait, the trends have changed."'

During the interview she also touched on the impact of the criticism regarding her appearance, and speculation about whether she's had more cosmetic surgery — which can be set off by a photo of her at an event with harsh lighting.

'It's just years and years of not feeling like my face or looks are accepted,' she said. 'There's nothing anyone could ever say now that would hurt me.'

The publication further stated that Kylie no longer wears 'wigs or bold makeup every day' and is 'stripping down a little bit.'

'I don't have this thick mane down to my butt, I don't have lash extensions, I don’t have these long claws,' she shared.

Over the past months fans have noticed a style reinvention, with the reality star opting for more pared back looks, including the one she wore to the Jean Paul Gaultier show during Paris Fashion Week in January.

Many believed that she appeared to have switched up her style after going public with the Hollywood actor.

Channeling a high fashion look with a classic hair style and stripped back natural make-up, Kylie looked worlds away from her past bold statements and body-hugging ensembles.

Stepping out in the French capital, she chose a more minimalist approach to glamour in a corseted mini dress with flowing champagne tulle layered over the top. The makeup mogul elevated her height with a pair of towering clear heels and pulled her hair back into a soft curled updo.

Some fans even accused Kylie of 'stealing' Sofia Richie's signature 'quiet luxury' style in 'rebrand attempt.'

It comes after Kylie and Timothée's fans have voiced concerns that the superstar duo have split after a year-long romance.

The pair have maintained a low-key relationship but the two have not been spotted together in public since January, leading some of their followers to believe they have gone their separate ways.

The couple caused shockwaves when they put on a romantic and PDA-heavy display at the 81st Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in early January, however they have not been seen together since.

Kylie inadvertently fueled break-up rumors when she posted a TikTok video on Tuesday. showing her going through her daily routines with her daughter Stormi Webster, six, and older sister Kendall Jenner, 28.

Fans and commenters were convinced the post was an attempt to 'soft-launch' a break-up by highlighting how well she's doing on her own as a single mother raising two children and taking care of an ever-expanding business empire.

Fans of the actor and the reality star flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to either bemoan or celebrate the unconfirmed split, though neither Timothée nor Kylie has said anything to definitively indicate that they have split.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet's representatives for comment.

Timothée and Kylie were reportedly first acquainted after meeting up at Paris Fashion week in January 2023.

But it wasn't until April of that year that rumors of a relationship began flying when Kylie's recognizable black SUV was seen at Timothée's home in Beverly Hills.

They were reported to be officially dating by the end of the month, though they tried to keep the details of their relationship under the radar.

Things seemed to be getting serious by December 2023, when People reported that Kylie was now calling Timothée her 'boyfriend.'

The two haven't made any major public displays or comments in the last two months, setting off speculation that the burgeoning relationship is already over.
