Sonja Morgan leaves WWHL in NYC after Leah McSweeney claimed in new lawsuit that Bravo producers made fun of her 'excessive alcohol consumption'

Sonja Morgan appeared in high spirits as she was spotted leaving the set of Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday.

For the occasion, the former Real Housewives of New York City star, 60, wore a pair of classic and well-fitting jeans with timeless black blouse, which she kept tucked into a pair of dark-wash jeans.

The mother-of-one completed her chic outfit off with a black jacket and matching boots.

Her long, golden blonde hair was parted off-center with beachy waves and side-swept bangs.

The socialite's latest outing comes after her former RHONY costar, Leah McSweeney revealed the alleged nickname that producers and executives used to call Morgan in a new lawsuit against Bravo.

In a legal letter submitted to Bravo on February 27, Leah claimed Bravo producers called Sonja a 'golden goose' because she was more than willing to get drunk while the cameras were rolling.

And she reportedly got a special privilege for being willing to get messy on camera – she was allowed to keep her daughter Quinn Adams Morgan, 23, off the show.

However, one executive said that all changed when Morgan's 'excessive alcohol consumption,' became too much, Leah's letter stated.

Barrie Bernstein, an executive producer at Shed Media, allegedly told McSweeney that she tired of Morgan's storyline, because it was becoming 'pathetic,' the filing states.

Leah's lawsuit also claims that producers watched idly as a drunk Luann de Lesseps climbed into a car to buy illegal drugs – while also claiming that producers actively encouraged cast members to drink to oblivion in the name of entertainment.

In 2021, Sonja admitted to going 'off the rails' in season 12 with her excessive drinking.

During the series, she was singled out during an intervention about her booze habits after she had a screaming altercation with motivational speaker Bershan Shaw that spiraled out of control.

The spectacle between Sonja and Bershan got so out of hand that they had to be separated by Leah and show producers.

Sonja eventually quit Real Housewives of New York following season 13, after appearing as a main cast member since 2010.

Elsewhere in her lawsuit, Leah also alleged that producers used her worsening mental health in a bid to convince her to relapse from her sobriety.

According to the filing, they implied they would 'help save her child' from filming obligations, 'if Ms. McSweeney consumed alcohol.'

A production source has vehemently denied her claims to DailyMail.com, insisting that, 'Bravo did everything possible to support Leah's sobriety and her outlandish claims are not going to get her anything.
