The late show host asked him why he hadn't won a single trophy at Trump's golf course. That prompted a story about Biden supposedly challenging Trump to a game but would have to 'carry your own bag.'

Former President Barack Obama followed President Joe Biden down the small stairs off Air Force One and guided him toward the Beast as the duo arrived Thursday to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Obama, alongside former President Bill Clinton who lives in New York, will join Biden onstage Thursday night for a glitzy New York City fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall. The event is expected to bring in $25 million.

Officer Diller was shot and killed in Queens during a routine traffic stop on Monday, with footage of the incident showing the cop screaming in pain as he died. Just before 2pm on Thursday, the Republican presidential nominee was seen pulling up to the Massapequa Funeral Home on Long Island for Diller's wake. A funeral mass will follow at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, also in Massapequa, on Saturday.

Joe Biden has been invited to testify in his own impeachment inquiry as Republicans hope to secure damning information on the president's alleged 'self-enrichment schemes' in a last effort to find evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors. House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., sent a letter to the president Thursday inviting him to Capitol Hill to testify on April 16 in the Republican's investigation into his 'influence peddling.' The committee has been investigating Biden, his family and business associates since last year and claims they have received 'a body of evidence' that proves Biden was 'indeed involved in these pay-for-influence schemes.' 'I invite you to participate in a public hearing at which you will be afforded the opportunity to explain, under oath, your involvement with your family's sources of income and the means it has used to generate it,' Comer wrote to Biden.

Former Senator Joe Lieberman, a former Democratic senator who was Al Gore's running mate and later became a prominent force for independent candidates has died at 82.

That massive cargo ship Dali had 4,700 containers on board when it slammed into Baltimore's Key bridge. Buttigieg said at the White House it took five years to construct the bridge when asked to estimated how long it might take to replace it. 'A container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which I've been over many, many times commuting from the state of Delaware either on a train or by car,' Biden said.

Members of the press who joined the call heard Democratic politicians talk in circles about the stress of dealing with the RFK Jr. threat.

A recently surfaced clip shows progressive 'Squad' member Rep. Jamaal Bowman calling the rapes and child beheadings of Israelis by Hamas militants on October 7 'propaganda.'  The video - posted on TikTok - shows Bowman addressing a group of pro-Palestinian protestors in Westchester, New York, decrying how Israel was lying about the severity of the attack. 'There was propaganda used at the beginning of the siege,' he can be heard claiming loudly as cars pass noisily behind him on a busy road.

President Joe Biden vowed the federal government will pay to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge and insisted it was an accident. Biden vowed to move 'heaven and earth' to get one of the world's busiest ports reopened after a ship lost power and destroyed the bridget that spans the Patapsco River, at the mouth of the Baltimore Harbor.   'We're going to get it up and running again as soon as possible. 15,000 jobs depend on that port. At least eight states are planning to ban the sale of new gas-powered cars in the next decade - and others are considering joining them. Only zero-emission vehicles can be sold in participating states beginning from the 2035 model year, according to the Advanced Clean Cars II legislation. The rule, which was first adopted by California, means that automakers and dealerships would be banned from selling new gas cars in these states from that point onwards. Americans will not be forced to take their gas-powered cars off the road, however, and will still be able to buy used and secondhand gas vehicles.

NBC hosts are objecting on-air to the hiring of former Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel after she soft-launched her new contributor gig on Sunday. The vocal objection continued Monday on MSNBC's Morning Joe where the two main hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, said they would not welcome McDaniel on their show. It came after McDaniel appeared on NBC Meet the Press with Kristen Welker for a heated discussion over her previous stances as RNC chairwoman and her seemingly contradicting stances now that she was hired as a contributor with the left-leaning network.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday announced that he is canceling the planned visit of a delegation to Washington after the United States refused to veto a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. Netanyahu made the threat to Israeli news media and minutes later the U.S. abstained from voting on the resolution, which was carried by 14 votes to zero. The impasse is the latest twist in diplomatic efforts to ease the suffering of Palestinian civilians caught up in fighting and to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas .

Kamala Harris joyfully clapped along to a Spanish protest song before abruptly stopping after the lyrics were revealed to be targeting the vice president and the administration's foreign policies. Multiple videos show Harris clapping rhythmically, smiling and observing as a group banged on drums and sang in Spanish during her trip to Puerto Rico on Friday. After an aide leaned over and spoke with Harris, the vice president slowly stopped clapping and lowered her hands and assumed a more serious facial expression - almost a frown. It is presumed that the aide was translating the lyrics to Harris.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski isn't ruling out leaving the Republican Party and becoming an independent as the GOP leans into Donald Trump and she distances herself. The centrist Republican senator from Alaska was one of the seven who voted for Trump's second impeachment after the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot. But MAGA attempts in the 2022 midterms to boot Murkowksi from her seat as punishment for her vote were unsuccessful. Murkowski, who has represented Alaska in the U.S. Senate since 2002, told CNN that she will not vote for Trump in the 2024 presidential elections.

The 1,000 page spending deal was the result of long negotiations between Republican Speaker Mike Johnson , Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and White House officials. Conservatives slammed the bill for having billions in earmarks - funding for lawmaker's pet projects in their home districts - saying they are fiscally irresponsible.

Former lawmaker George Santos announced Friday he will run as an Independent in his bid for New York's First Congressional District. After getting expelled from Congress in December for using donor funds to illegally pay for adult content on OnlyFans and cosmetic botox procedures, the fabulist announced at President Joe Biden's State of the Union he would run again. 'After today's embarrassing showing in the house I have reflected and decided that I can no longer be part of the Republican Party,' Santos posted on X. 'I will take my Ultra MAGA/Trump supporting values to the ballot in November as an Independent,' he continued.

Chelsea Clinton defended fellow first kid Barron Trump, saying the teen had an 'unimpeachable right to privacy' even after turning 18.  The former first daughter said the youngest child of Donald Trump, despite growing up in the public eye was 'a private citizen.'  'I feel so strongly that if you're a private citizen, you have an unimpeachable right to privacy. And I think the media should leave him alone,' Chelsea said on ABC's The View of Barron.

Russia and China have vetoed a U.S. draft resolution in the United Nations calling for an 'immediate and sustained' ceasefire in Gaza. It called for a halt in hostilities for roughly six weeks to protect civilians and allow for the delivery of humanitarian assistance. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Tel Aviv Friday amid ongoing talks to try to negotiate a temporary cease fire, but in another sign of strain with the U.S., Israel's President Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would engage in an operation in Rafah with or without U.S. support.
