Tyrell Malacia is not expected to play for Manchester United until next season as the Dutch left-back struggles with a knee meniscus injury. Erik ten Hag has been left short-staffed in that position with both Malacia and first-choice Luke Shaw on the sidelines for large chunks of the campaign. Malacia, 24, hasn't played a single minute this season with the £13million defender's last action coming for the Netherlands against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League semi-final last June.

Jason Kelce trained with an independent wrestling company ahead of his surprise Wrestlemania appearance last week, new photos show. Kelce, along with former Eagles teammate Lane Johnson, helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade win in front of an adulating Philadelphia crowd at Lincoln Financial Field. And prior to that performance, Kelce trained with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) to prepare for his time in the ring. The company, founded in 1999, is known for its hardcore violence and death matches.

Leeds United's appeal against the £24.5million they were ordered to give their former striker has been withdrawn from the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Leeds decided to appeal the decision, which was made by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber, adding another twist to the long-running saga surrounding the French forward. However, The Athletic are now reporting that Leeds have withdrawn their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport - claiming 'that process has ended prematurely without a further ruling

Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo was spotted out at a restaurant with friends wearing the colours of their bitter rivals Manchester City on Wednesday night. Mainoo, 18, has enjoyed a remarkable rise to stardom at Old Trafford this season, becoming one of the team's standout players before making his international debut for England last month. But it could have all been very different as City were very keen to poach the talented midfielder during his younger days while he was in United's academy.

Alex Pereira has not just beaten, but obliterated Francis Ngannou's record on the PowerKube to land the hardest punch in the world.  The PowerKube is a device to measure the power of a single strike, with a padded target hooked up to a computer and data delivered in real time.  Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, who is known for his freakish strength and KO ability, had a go on the machine back in 2018. He scored 129.161 units of power and at the time, Dana White said: 'His punches are equivalent to 96 horse power. 'That's equal to getting hit by a Ford Escort going as fast as it can.'

Logan Paul rewarded IShowSpeed with an incredible gift after he took an RKO from Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 40 to help him retain his WWE US title.  The YouTuber - actually called Darren Jason Watkins Jr - was left writhing in agony this weekend after being on the receiving end of Orton's signature move when he disguised himself as a Prime mascot to save Paul from taking a punt. Orton took his frustration out on the 19-year-old star by kicking him over, stripping him of his blue bottle costume, throwing him on the announcer table, and finishing him with an RKO.

Three months after his release from jail, Oscar Pistorius now finds himself in no man's land while holed up at his uncle's mansion in the South African capital. Pistorius, the only double amputee in Olympic history, walked free back in January after serving nearly nine years for the murder of his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, whom he shot and killed through a locked bathroom door at his Pretoria bachelor bad on Valentine's Day in 2013. Yet since being granted parole earlier this year, the 37-year-old has had no success when trying to find himself a job.

Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender made a humiliating mistake playing out from the back against Monterrey in the Champions Cup on Wednesday night - with USMNT teammate Brandon Vazquez intercepting his pass and scoring an easy goal. Lionel Messi and Inter Miami headed into the game in Mexico trailing 2-1 and after a gritty start to the game, Callender's error left the team on the brink of an exit. Thomas Aviles played the ball back to his goalkeeper under minimal pressure and as Callender got the ball under control, Vazquez slowly approached to narrow the goalkeepers passing angle.

All Elite Wrestling's footage of the backstage fight at 'All In: London' showed CM Punk initiating the incident by walking up to Jack Perry, shoving him, putting him in a chokehold and throwing a punch steps away from the Wembley Stadium crowd.  The footage of the incident aired live on AEW's flagship weekly television show, 'Dynamite' a little over a week after Punk, who has since signed with WWE, trashed the company during a two-hour interview with journalist Ariel Helwani.

On Wednesday morning's edition of First Take, Smith and Qerim had similar-colored outfits on set. As a result, co-host Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo teased them about being married at the top of the program. 'Who said 'I do' first between the two of you,' Russo quipped while pointing at his colleagues. Qerim quickly responded, sarcastically saying: 'Who said 'I don't?'' Smith and Qerim exchanged compliments before the veteran sports journalist began addressing the speculations.
