Luann de Lesseps has gushed about her groom-to-be Tom D'Agostino Jr. as she moves forward with her wedding plans despite catching him kissing another woman.

The 51-year-old Real Housewives Of New York star told People she's 'so in love' and 'excited to walk down the aisle' with the businessman who she became engaged to in February.

Luann also confirmed that both parties will be signing a prenup as she explained: 'Oh yeah well we both have assets,

'He's got a big business and assets and so do I.' she added.

On last week's episode of RHONY Luann discovered her fiance kissed another woman the night before their engagement party.

But she feels more confident than ever about their relationship as she told People: 'Knowing that we can get through this has made our relationship even stronger. If you can't forgive those you love, who can you forgive?'

While she's been married once before to Count Alexandre de Lesseps from 1993 to 2009, she says this will be her first time down the aisle.

'Knowing that we can get through this has made our relationship even stronger' Luann said of her relationship with the businessman

'I'm excited to walk down the aisle, I've never done it, I eloped. So I never have been married in a traditional way so I'm excited to be a bride. That's why I'm wearing a veil.'

The couple plan to tie the knot on New Year's Eve in Palm Beach, Florida and expect around 250 guests.

The mother-of-two says that her co-star Bethenny Frankel will not be on the guest list.

Luann, pictured with Tom and her two children can't wait to walk down the aisle saying: 'I never have been married in a traditional way so I'm excited to be a bride. That's why I'm wearing a veil.'

'You'd think she'd be happy for me, but I think she's just an unhappy person' she said of the Skinnygirl Cocktails founder.

Luann says that despite being heartbroken on television she still plans on forging ahead with her wedding.

She told People: 'I'm not going to let a stupid kiss ruin the rest of my life.'

She continued, 'He screwed up. What he did was wrong. But this wasn't premeditated. It wasn't an affair. It was a mistake.'

The 'mistake' included the 49-year-old businessman locking lips with an ex-girlfriend in the lobby of the Regency Hotel in New York after a fight with Luann.

The betrayal was caught on camera and then later revealed to Luann by her costar Bethenny Frankel.

On last week's episode, a conflicted Bethenny, 45, finally confronted Luann with the incriminating images of Tom and another woman.

The twice divorced cocktail creator sat Luann down and divulged the news that she received a photo of Luann's love kissing a mystery woman.

Before the photo was shown, a hysterical Luann stormed out of the room and ordered the Bravo crew to 'stop filming.'

But since then Luann has apparently dismissed Tom's indiscretion telling the publication, 'He was upset with me. It was a stupid retaliation of some sort.'

'He did the wrong thing, and he totally recognizes that. I know in my heart of hearts that he loves me.'

Tom - who previously dated her RHONY costars Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer- is set to wed Luann on New Year's Eve.

And the groom-to-be also seems ready to move on, telling People, 'If I could take it back, I would.'

'I deeply regret the mistakes I've made, and most of all hate the way it hurt Luann,' he added.

Luann and French entrepreneur Alexandre de Lesseps share two children together: A son, Noel and a daughter, Victoria.
