Natasha Khan has waited until her 27th year to make her debut album. One listen and you're wondering how such a talent remained hidden in Brighton for so long. Khan and producer David Kosten reinvent Siouxsie/Bush/Bjork mystical sex, musical travelogue and poetic dreamstate for the contemporary singer-songwriter milieu. The results - whether backed by solo piano for the sophisticated 'Sad Eyes', or merging Phil Spector and gothic (but not goth!) ambience on the stunning 'What's a Girl to Do?' - are nothing short of breathtaking.
