Awarded her first scholarship for musical study from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation at the age of five, Orli Shaham’s prodigious talents were recognized at an early age.

She was a student of Luisa Yoffe at the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem and with Nancy Stessin in New York. She was later accepted at The Juilliard School as a scholarship student of Herbert Stessin, and has degrees from the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, New York, and Columbia University.

Orli Shaham has now established a reputation as one of today's most gifted pianists. She has appeared with the Cleveland, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Atlanta, Dallas and San Francisco Symphony Orchestras, Festival appearances have included Aspen, Amilia Island, Ravinia, Caramoor, Grand Teton, Verbier, Spoleto and Davos and Amelia Island, and a duo recital with Gil Shaham at New York’s Mostly Mozart Festival.

Career highlights include several tours of Japan and performances with the National, Houston, New World, San Diego, Detroit, Jerusalem, Sydney, La Scala and Bilbao Symphonies, Rochester and Florida Philharmonics, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra della Toscana. Ms. Shaham has worked with such conductors as Sir Neville Marriner, Sir Roger Norrington, Christopher Hogwood and Yoav Talmi and has toured extensively with Gil Shaham. In 1997, the duo released a Deutsche Grammophon recording entitled Dvorák for Two. International recital engagements have taken her to cities throughout Italy, Spain, France and Germany.

Orli Shaham has taught music literature at Columbia University and contributed articles to Piano Today and Symphony magazines, and was awarded the prestigious Gilmore Young Artist Award and the Avery Fisher Career Grant. She is married to the conductor David Robertson and lives in New York.
