It's a relatively simple technique using a bellows-style camera lens custom made into a digital large format video camera, then splayed at, I'd say, 5 frames per second and sped up. I did some stills in college using this technique, it's fun stuff. Great job and concept, you beat me to the punch!

I really love the saturated colors as a difference to your earlier Sydney Harbour movies.

I think this movie has a some kind of message about monster truck events. It makes them seem a bit childish or naive, in my opinion.

Anyway, do you use a digital slr or just a really nice video camera (like those of canon's)? I know, shooting this kind of video's with a dslr just kills your shutter really fast.

Keith, I have to say your work is absolutely amazing! The way you capture and present these subjects is so fascinating and mezmerizing. I never even knew about tilt-shift photography until I saw your work here….So, thanks for inspiring me. I have a Canon 20D and have been thinking of getting a TS lens. I’m not sure which lense to get, the 90mm, 45mm or the 24mm. Do you have a preference? Which lense do you use for your video’s? There is a lot of construction going on where I live and would love to shoot some of the construction sites. Anyway, thanks for showing your work!
