Dublin Scout Province Unveils New Visual Identity

A decision was taken at the February meeting of the Dublin Provincial Management Team to investigate a refresh for the provinces visual identity as part of an overall re-brand of the services the province seeks to provide to local scouting.
The March meeting of the management team also agreed to a name change for the Province which now becomes the ‘Dublin Scout Province’
A secondary visual identity, for use opposite the public and on textiles has also been developed and is closely linked to the parent logo which will feature on stationary, press releases and the new provincial badge, due into circulation before the summer. The secondary identity is designed for use on banners, t-shirts, hoodies, etc according to Provincial PRO Patrick Costello.
Commenting on the new visual identity, Provincial Commissioner Anne Smithers said “ Dublin Scouting has been lacking a cohesive identity since Scouting Irelands foundation. I’m optimistic that this new visual identity will enter widespread use and will act as a platform for a stronger Dublin presence within Scouting and stronger presence for Scouting around Dublin generally”
The Dublin Scout Province exists to champion, encourage and support the provision of high quality Scouting in Dublin.
This is achieved by directly supporting the County Commissioners of all nine Scout Counties within the Province.
In turn, each County Commissioner has both the skill and the back-up to directly support each Group Leader and Group Council within their Scout County
The Dublin Scout Province has a management team that meets regularly (five/six times per year) and this team includes all County Commissioners in the Dublin City Council, DLRCC and SDCC areas, the Provincial Commissioner and a number of representatives to key national teams.
