 | The Band the started it all. THE MENTORS! The Mentors are a heavy metal band, who formed in 1977? in Seattle, then moved to Los Angeles in 1979. They billed themselves as the inventors of "rape rock", essentially early 1970s style heavy metal/punk with extremely sexist lyrics. They were a popular live act in Los Angeles in the 1980s, but the chronic, acute alcoholism & death of singer/drummer Eldon Hoke, better known as El Duce, caused them to slow down in the 1990s and eventually cease activity. After a long hiatus, activity has started up again, and the band has put out new material with a renewed lineup. |

| Gardy-Loo! Formed in June of 1990 when Nasty Savage called it quits. Ben Meyer, Richard Bateman, and Craig Huffman decided they were due for a change. They wanted to start a whole new band with a different style and musical direction. The first thing on the agenda was to choose a name-Gardy-Loo! was the ticket! The term Gardy-Loo was used in England before the invention of modern day sewage facilities. |

During one of many stays at a secret Beverly Hills lock down rehab facility. Front man, Allen Wrench, began writing the lyrics and music, for what would go on to become the Kill Allen Wrench debut CD... My Bitch Is A Junky. Mr. Wrench claimed he wrote the entire CD within 1/2 hour after having just broke into the institutions pharmacy. Wrench recalled ¯It was cool as fuck... I popped big ass hand full of pills and all this great music just started flying through my head. It was like I wasn't even writing. It was like someone was writing through me. |
