The Rock presents Aerosmith live in New Zealand!

The Rock is excited to announce Aerosmith's first-ever concert in New Zealand this April!

And in news that will certainly please rock-deprived South Island fans, the legendary band is set to play one sure-to-sellout show at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium, with a stellar line-up of special guests, inlcuding Wolfmother, The Dead Daisies, Diva Demolition and Head Like A Hole.

Frontman Steven Tyler will be joined onstage with bandmates Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford for one thunderous night of good old fashion, blues-based hard rock.

Formed in 1970, Aerosmith broke into the mainstream off the back of their 1975 album Toys in the Attic, and shot into super-stardom with hit singles Sweet Emotion, Dream On, Walk This Way, Janie's Got a Gun, Love in an Elevator, Dude (Looks Like a Lady), and 1997's number one single (and every chick's favourite), I Don't Want To Miss a Thing.

They're the best-selling American rock band of all time, having sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, and hold the record for the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group. In 2001 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and were included among both Rolling Stone's and VH1's lists of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

Tickets go on sale 9am Monday 4th March at ticketdirect.co.nz. A special ticket presale is available on Friday 1st March - sign up at ticketdirect.co.nz to get amongst the action.
