With the rise of PDAs, wireless email and general trend towards mobile computing, more and more people need to access information on the web, but can't always be at a traditional 'web terminal' (PC dialed into an ISP, for example). Simultaneously, there is a large rise in internet usage in European, Asian and Latin American countries, where people want the information, but get charged per minute access fees - surfing aimlessly looking for a piece of info is simply not an option for many people.

This is why we put together inquiremail.com. Inquiremail.com is an easy way to quickly search top search engines (currently Altavista, Hotbot and AllTheWeb.com) by email. Can't remember that link you found a week ago? If you got it with inquiremail.com, it's probably still in your inbox! Marketing professionals will also enjoy being able to monitor multiple search phrases quickly and easily while keeping long term records of site rankings in their inbox.

But it's more than simply searching - once you've found what you want, you can also retrieve URLs (web pages) by email as well. No more waiting for tons of graphics to load up, broken images, etc. You get a smooth, clean, low bandwidth text version of any website you need, all through email!

We're pretty simple to operate (just don't operate any heavy machinery while reading your results!) To search, send off an email to search@inquiremail.com, with your search term in the subject line of the email. No need to put anything in the body - our system will simply ignore any text there. To retrieve a web page, email url@inquiremail.com with the URL (use the http:// too!) in the subject line. In a matter of seconds, you'll have your results right back in your inbox, waiting for you. That's it!

We're a pretty new service, so we don't handle password protected pages yet, and we don't handle SSL pages. Other than that, most web sites should work pretty easily.
