DMV Employment: Applying for a DMV Position: What to Expect
Positions are posted every two weeks. So, make a note to periodically check our job listings.
If you are applying for more than one position, submit a separate application and/or resume for each. Photocopies are acceptable.
We accept applications and resumes only for posted positions.
We will send you a letter letting you know that we received your application and/or resume.
Your application and/ or resume will be screened against criteria relating to the position’s duties and the required knowledge, skills and abilities. This process can take several weeks.
If you are invited to interview, do your homework on DMV – who we are, what we do --so that you can relate your experience to the work we do. And, be prepared to ask some questions of your own.
If you are not selected for this position, you will receive a letter letting you know that another candidate was selected.
If you are selected, you will receive an offer letter.
