Vehicle Services: Declaring a Vehicle as Salvage
A nonrepairable vehicle is any late model vehicle that has been damaged and whose estimated cost of repair exceeds 90% of its actual cash value prior to being damaged. A nonrepairable vehicle may also be any vehicle determined by the owner or an insurance company to be beyond repair and for which a nonrepairable certificate has been issued or applied for. It may also represent any other vehicle which has been damaged, is inoperable, and has no value except for use as parts and scrap metal.
