Passenger Carriers

• Common Carrier (PA) - a for hire carrier that provides regularly scheduled transportation for the general public within the Commonwealth.
• Special/Charter Party Carriers (CP) - a for hire carrier that transports individual groups of passengers within the Commonwealth.
• Sight-seeing Carriers (SS) - a for hire carrier that transports individual passengers to and from specific sites of interest within the Commonwealth.
• Exempt Passenger (EP) - a non-profit corporation or tax exempt organization that operates exclusively minibuses and provides for hire transportation for elderly, handicapped, or economically disadvantaged persons within the Commonwealth.
• Employee Hauler (EH)- a for hire passenger carrier that exclusively transports employees of specified employers to work within the Commonwealth.
• Taxicab (TC) - a dispatched for hire passenger carrier that provides transportation for the general public within the Commonwealth
• Limousine (LM) - a contracted for hire passenger carrier operating automobiles structurally altered to accommodate up to 10 passengers in formal style within the Commonwealth. See our Seven Steps to Choosing a Limo Service.
• Executive Sedan (XS) - a contracted for hire passenger carrier operating unmarked/unmetered executive style automobiles within the Commonwealth.
