| The Yahoo! directory is organized by subject. Sites are placed in
categories
by Yahoo! Surfers, who visit and evaluate your suggestions and decide
where
they best belong. We do this to ensure that the directory is organized
in the best possible way, making it easy to use, intuitive, helpful, and
fair to everyone.
This philosophy of creating an intuitive and easy-to-use directory also
applies to sites suggested via Yahoo! Express. With this in mind, we
ask you to follow two important steps when using the Yahoo! Express
service:
| Step 1: Find the Appropriate
Category in Yahoo! |
| As with standard submissions, finding an appropriate category for your
site is at the heart of the Yahoo! Express suggestion process. Remember
that Yahoo! Surfers visit each site suggested to the directory, and proper
categorization on your part helps to speed the process.
In order to qualify for Yahoo! Express, your site must be up and
running 24 hours a day, seven days a week and all the
links on the site must work (and link to content). For more requirements
check out the Yahoo!
Express Terms of Service. |

| Step 2: Suggest your site from
the Appropriate Category |
| Suggest your site from the category you think most appropriate.
Do this by clicking on the "Suggest a Site" link at the bottom of
that category page. (It's just to the right of the copyright and the
"Company
Information" link.) Remember that the final placement of your site is
determined
by Yahoo! Surfers.
When you click on "Suggest a Site" in the appropriate category,
you'll see a brief description of Yahoo! Express. Click on the "Yahoo!
Express" button. Next, you'll see an online form asking for information
about your site. (In the "category" space on the form, you'll see the name
of the category you've chosen.) Please be prepared to provide, among other
information, your site's title, URL, and a brief description. Follow the
submission steps through to their conclusion. Your site will be evaluated
(with an email response from us) within seven days.
