FirstPlace Software, Inc., previously known by the trade name Innovative Solutions & Technologies, Inc., is based in the heartland of America, Joplin, Missouri, and has been creating innovative software solutions since 1991.
The name I.S.T. was changed to FirstPlace Software, Inc. in November of 1997 to better represent the company's leadership position in the fast expanding category of Web site promotion software.
FirstPlace Software initially gained national recognition when featured as the COVER story of the May 1997 issue of Money Magazine as one of the fastest growing and most successful small businesses in America (featured under the name, Innovative Solutions & Technologies).
