Northwest Airlines E-Cert promotions

Northwest Airlines E-Cert is an electronic certificate providing valuable offers to pre-selected Northwest customers. E-Cert offers can be conveniently redeemed online, by calling Northwest Reservations or visiting a Northwest City Ticket Office (please see your offer's terms and conditions for details). When redeeming E-Certs online, customers simply enter the E-Cert reference code (and unique identifier code or certificate number, if applicable) where requested in WorldWeb Reservations when choosing flight/itinerary search preferences.

When searching by Best Price, you will not have to worry if there is a better fare than your E-Cert offer. WorldWeb Reservations will automatically advise you of the lowest fare, whether it requires redemption of E-Cert or not. You will see a star and the word "E-Cert" on itinerary choices where the Best Price requires redemption of your E-Cert offer. If there happens to be a lower price in the marketplace without redeeming your E-Cert, you will only see itinerary price.

Once you have selected the itinerary which best matches your needs, continue to purchase your E-Ticket through WorldWeb Reservations. WorldWeb Reservations will note if your E-Cert has been redeemed electronically and automatically apply the discount.

Fares - full and excursion

Northwest Airlines sells many seats in advance at lower prices. These discounted excursion fares are often used by leisure travelers who are willing to exchange flexibility for a lower price. Certain restrictions apply to these non-refundable tickets however, passengers can also apply the value of the fully unused ticket towards the purchase of a new non-refundable ticket. The new origination date must be within one year of the original ticket issue date. A service fee applies to any changes made on these discounted fares.

For travelers who are unable to make travel arrangements in advance, we offer fully refundable fares in every market. While these fares are generally higher, they offer greater flexibility for change.

Your pet is important to Northwest Airlines. For this reason, we have created Priority Pet; a program designed to provide your pet with a safe, comfortable trip and you with peace of mind. Northwest Airlines offers several ways to ship an animal: luggage, cargo, and our small package service known as VIP (Very Important Package). Although space is limited, Northwest Airlines also allows small dogs, cats and birds to travel in the passenger cabin provided the animal is small enough to fit comfortably in a kennel placed under the seat.

Charges for shipping your pet will differ depending on the service you choose. Call 1-800-225-2525 toll-free to determine applicable charges and arrange passage for your pet on a Northwest Airlines flight. Restrictions apply in certain states/countries.

Wheelchairs/Electric Carts

Northwest Airlines wants to provide a comfortable and convenient flight for all of our passengers. For those passengers with disabilities requiring special assistance Northwest offers the following:

  • Wheelchairs at all airports to assist passengers needing assistance moving through the airport. Select airports also offer electric carts.
