INTRODUCTION

Newsreel is the official Newsletter of the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board. We Hope to keep you informed of the work the Board is doing throughout the region and of other developments or initiatives which effect the Region.

The work the Board does is extensive covering protection, conservation, development, management and the promotion of Inland Fisheries and the Sea Angling resource. Our area of operations extend from the River Feale in Co Kerry, through Co Clare to the source of the Shannon. We try in each issue of Newsreel to cover aspects throughout the Region. We hope you find these articles interesting and informative.
