In
the end, and no doubt after having struck fear
into the hearts of every fish out west, Andy
Vander Ploeg of High River, Alberta walked away
with the Championship's prestigious adult division
Ford Angler of the Year title. Canada's new
Ford Angler of the Year can attribute his win
to all of his hard work out on the water in
Region 1 and 2, resulting in a staggering 417
points, which included no less than 127 qualifiers
and a lot of top 10 placements. Wow! And if
that isn't enough, Andy also managed to win
the Big Fish Award for Burbot, Dolly Varden
as well as Goldeye. Thanks to our sponsors,
Andy was rewarded with fabulous prizes. Way
