Listing Fees

Regular Auction Listings
There are two types of fees for auctions. The first is a listing fee based on the starting price of your item or the reserve price if you have one.

  Starting Price or
Reserve Price
  Listing Fee
$0.01 - $9.99 $0.05
$10.00 - $24.99 $0.15
$25.00 - $49.99 $0.35
$50.00 and up $0.75

The second is a final value fee based on the closing price of your item. The final value fee is only charged if your item sells.

  Closing Price    Final Value Fee
$0 - $25 2% of the closing price
$25 - $1,000 2% of the first $25 ($0.50)
plus 1% of the remaining closing price
$1,000 and up 2% of the first $25 ($0.50)
plus 1% of the first $25-$1,000 ($9.75)
plus 0.5% of the remaining closing price

Here's an example:
If you list an item at a starting price of $10.00, your listing fee will be $0.15. If the closing price of your item is $20.00, the Final Value Fee will be $0.40.

Your total charge would then be $0.15 + $0.40 = $0.55.

Reserve Price Listings
If you set a reserve price, you will be charged a reserve fee in addition to the fees mentioned above. The reserve fee is refunded if your auction closes successfully with a winner. Learn more about reserve prices.

  Reserve Price     Reserve Fee
$0.01 - $24.99 $0.40
$25.00 and up $0.75

Multi-Quantity or "Dutch Auction" Listings
The listing fee is based on the starting price of your item or the reserve price if you have one. Refer to the chart at the top of the page to determine this fee, then multiply the listing fee by the quantity of items for sale. The maximum listing fee for a multi-quantity auction is $1.50. The final value fee is calculated for each item that closes successfully by using the above chart. Learn more about multi-quantity auctions.

Here's an example:
If you're selling 10 items with a starting price of $1.00 and a reserve price of $30.00, you would be charged a listing fee of $0.35 x 10 items = $3.50, but the maximum is $1.50. So your total listing fee is $1.50. Your reserve fee is $0.75.

Say for example that five items have a closing price of $30.00, and five items have a closing price of $40.00.

The final value fee for the $30 items would be
($25 x 2%) + ($5 x 1%) = $0.55 each.

The final value fee for the $40 items would be
($25 x 2%) + ($15 x 1%) = $0.65 each

Your total final value fees would be
(5 x $0.55) + (5 x $0.65) = $2.75 + $3.25 = $6.00

Your total charge is
($1.50 + $0.75 + $6.00) = $8.25
